My cat used it right away, hopefully she stops messing with my furniture haha
Both of our cats have taken to it quite quickly and use it both as a scratch board and also a cozy bowl they can curl up in. I placed ours under the Christmas tree which I think helped as the low canopy over hanging it gave them a nice sense of security going into it.
Definitely built dense and sturdy, if you want to drop some catnip in for an extra treat the holes are a good width so you can get the nip nice and imbedded in there.

My cats absolutely adore this one. They are constantly in it, using it for scratching or just laying in it. I ended up buying more so they didn't have to wait to share. It's very well built and has lasted through all of them using it from my larger 18 pound male to my smaller 9 pound female
Got this scratcher for my cat Andy and he loves it. He scratches it like crazy and even sleeps on it sometimes. It’s sturdy and doesn’t leave cardboard bits everywhere, which is a huge plus!
